Response began in the fall of 2011, with a completely unexperienced, but enthusiastic, group of homeschool families. As a club, Response competes in the Stoa Speech & Debate League . Response offers students the opportunities to compete in Team Policy Debate, Parliamentary Debate, as well as Individual Events in speech (platform, limited preparation, and interpretation). 

How did we get our name? In debate, students must learn to "respond" to their opponents with quickness, logic, and grace. This activity serves as a training ground for those Christian students who will someday soon be asked to "respond" to many trials in life and attacks on their faith. We believe that God is in control of absolutely everything, and that it is our RESPONSE to situations outside our own control that can most effectively demonstrate our trust and faith in Him!
